BreastScreen SA is part of a national program which is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and state and territory governments. It is the central data holder for the results of all mammograms that have taken place in SA as part of this program. BreastScreen SA has a target group of women aged 50-74 years (women aged 40–49 and 75 and older may also be eligible for free screening mammograms under this program).

This database is a register of client information covering the screening pathway of breast cancer screening and assessment. The woman has consented to her data being used for monitoring quality, effectiveness and evaluation.
Provide a secure and confidential statewide clinical management application enabling clean, up to date breast screening and assessment data for immediate online access for clinical management and reporting purposes. The system is designed to efficiently and effectively maintain a complete screening history for women participating in the BreastScreen SA Program through appointment management, clinical episode data capture and the generation of result and reminder notifications to women and their health providers in line with mandated accreditation requirements.
