The Queensland Health Non-Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHNAPDC) provides non-admitted patient service event details, at the service event level. QHNAPDC includes service events at the facility level and hospital and health service level as well as service events that are delivered in person, through telehealth, telephone, etc.
All activity regardless of the source from which the service derives the funds, regardless of location, setting or mode that meets the definition of "an interaction between one of more healthcare provider(s) with one non-admitted patient, which must contain therapeutic/clinical content and result in a dated entry in the patient's medical record." Excludes activity covered by admitted patient care, admitted patient mental health care, non-admitted patient emergency department care, and services which deliver non-clinical care, e.g. activities such as home cleaning, meals on wheels or home maintenance.

To collect demographic data and service event information on all non-admitted patients from all public hospitals within Queensland. Information is used for national and state reporting. It also allows Queensland Health to meet national obligations through submissions to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare for statistical reporting purposes and the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority for funding purposes.
