Description 
The Queensland Emergency Data Collection (EDC) is an administrative data collection that contains demographic, administrative and clinical data detailing presentations to Emergency Departments (ED) at most public hospitals in Queensland.
The EDC is based on the "Non-admitted Patient Emergency Department Care‟ National Minimum Data Set (NMDS). The collection contains information on patients' journey through the ED, describes the care and treatment provided and provides alerts.
Scope
The scope of this data collection currently covers the Emergency Departments of most Queensland public hospitals. Included are all patients who arrive, and are registered to receive care, at an ED at any of the Queensland ED Reporting Hospitals.
Limitations 
Emergency data is only available for reporting Queensland hospitals.
