Approvals required for access
Yes; any researcher applying for access to identifiable data held by NSW Health for research purposes must obtain data custodian and ethics approval. Please contact CHeReL client services at: moh-cherel@health.nsw.gov.au
Approvals required for publication
No approval necessary. NSW Ministry of health requests that we are notified at least 2 weeks prior to publication.
Acknowledgement Statement
The NSW Ministry of Health is to be acknowledged in any publication or report that arises from the use of the NSW Health data.Similarly, CHeReL should be acknowledged in any publication for undertaking the data linkage.There is no prescribed wording to acknowledge the NSW Ministry of Health or CHeReL.
