The NSW Cancer Registry maintains records of people with cancer and reports on the impact of cancer in the community.
The NSW Cancer Registry produces population-based statistics about cancer incidence and mortality for the residents of NSW. The NSW Cancer Registry collects a minimum amount of data for each notifiable cancer case, including demographic and clinical data items such as residence, sex, date of birth, date of diagnosis, cancer topography and morphology, means of diagnosis, multiple primary sites, race, country of birth, places and cause of death where applicable.

Administrative. The cancer data collected by the NSW Cancer Registry is used to monitor cancer trends, in order to assist in the planning, management and assessment of NSW cancer control activities. The data also contributes to the national Australian Cancer Database and international cohort.
