The Victorian Cancer Registry (VCR) is a population-based registry that is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of cancer incidence, mortality and survival in Victoria. Data is collected from all hospitals, pathology laboratories and radiotherapy services located within Victoria. Mortality data is obtained from the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria. The Registry is located at Cancer Council Victoria and collects cancer data on behalf of the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services who is the custodian of the cancer registry data.
